TotalView Products and Licenses
The TotalView Debugger family contains the following products:

- TotalView Individual
- Is a version of TotalView that is installed on a one or two
processor workstation or laptop and is only run on that machine. The
programs you debug can execute up to 16 processes and
threads. TotalView Individual runs on
Linux-x86, Linux-X86-64, Apple Mac OS X on Intel or Power, and Sun
Solaris-Opteron.

- TotalView Team
- Provides application-focused licensing that allows developers to
collectively debug their programs. This TotalView product is ideal
for organizations that want a simple, flexible licensing arrangement
and who want their usage to be on the number of processes being
simultaneously debugged rather than the number of users or the size of
their system. This means, for example, if your license allows you to
use 128 processes, then you could have 64 programmers debugging
two-process jobs, 1 programmer debugging a 128 process job, and so
on.
TotalView Team tracks the number of processes being debugged, not
the machine upon which they run or the capabilities of that
system. There are no limits to the number of threads that a developer
can debug.
TotalView Team includes an integrated memory debugger, supports
remote debugging, and is available on all supported platforms.

- TotalView Enterprise
- Provides machine-focused licensing that lets you define how many
concurrent users can simultaneously debug their programs. While all
debugging sessions must be on the same computer architecture, you can
optionally purchase licenses that let the programmer switch their
sessions to different machines.
Based on the traditional TotalView licensing model, TotalView
Enterprise licensing is based on the number of developers and the
number processors on your machine. There are no limits to the number
of processes or threads that your developers can debug. TotalView
Enterprise guarantees that your developers have full access to your
computer's resources.
TotalView Enterprise includes an integrated memory debugger,
supports remote debugging, and is available on all supported platforms.

- Renting TotalView
- Provides a TotalView Team or TotalView Enterprise license on a
monthly basis. It is ideal for short-term grid, utility, or
capacity-on-demand applications, or environments in which platforms
and configurations change regularly.
